The game is kinda messy and the action is harder to follow once you've unlocked enough "powers", with visuals effects, bim, bam, boom! everywhere, it's a colorful mess for sure and you hardly understand what's happening on screen most of the time, but you and your "powers" auto-lock your enemies, as your enemies auto-lock you, so you just have to be focused on being close enough to the melee to land your hits and press your buttons according to the tempo. You can change the difficulty from the settings at any moment, if you want to spice things up or the contrary. I think I'm close to the game's last quarter and I don't see how it would get worse. It's a rhythm feature in your average beat'em all. It's barely a rhythm game at all, even though rhythm is present everywhere, at any time. It's nothing like a "real" rhythm game, difficulty wise or anything. Some special actions requires you to repeat a rhythm, but it's very easy to do. You just have to press your buttons (attack, evade, parry) as the beat drops to have a better efficiency, if efficiency at all.
